National Space Day 23 August

23rd August is celebrated as National Space Day. The 23rd of August is a historic day for India, as it marks the accomplishment of its lunar mission Chandrayaan-3. On 23rd August 2023 chandaryaan3 landed on moon successfully. India became the first country to land a spacecraft on the moon’s south pole . National Space Day is a day dedicated to celebrating the achievements and contributions of space exploration and science. National Space Day aims to raise awareness about space-related endeavors, encourage interest in space exploration, and inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and astronauts.On this day, various educational and outreach activities take place, including classroom events, space-themed workshops, exhibitions, and public lectures. It’s a time when people come together to appreciate the wonders of the cosmos and the advancements that have been made in space technology and research.
